Location: Washington, DC (remote capabilities)

Do you want to be a part of a brilliant and curiously cultivated team of total tech nerds who geek out on creativity and innovation?  We are hiring a self-motivated, but collaborative SaaS Sales Associate to sell our proprietary software Dharma Platform in the public health space. Dharma is a flexible, cloud-based public health platform which allows users anywhere, anytime to collect, manage, and share field information in real time.

Who you are

  • Knows or is willing to learn intricately our product Dharma Platform, and continually deepening your understanding of our software and able to fluidly explain what we do and how we operate
  • Brings a book of business and proven sales techniques 
  • A natural closer with excellent prospecting skills with the ability to develop a strong pipeline of leads
  • Amazing at building relationships with NGOs, ministries of health (and other industries you will identify)
  • Excellent at showcasing our product
  • Generates revenue and meets growth targets 
  • Understands and interprets technical requirements, providing technical information, and maintaining current and new accounts 
  • Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities 
  • Bring a large network of contacts, and have great networking skills
  • Well-developed writing, speaking, and presentation skills
  • Uncovers sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building trust and rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotes and responding to RFPs
  • Able to identify gaps and bring solutions, by listening and asking the right questions
  • Excellent time management skills and communicates deliverables in a timely manner
  • Self-starter and independently motivated 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, persuasive, yet non-intimidating, determined and focused
  • Develop accounts by building on customer buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features
  • Maintains and improves quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures
  • Steadily increases product knowledge by studying new products, making suggestions on how we can improve products based on customer feedback
  • Enjoys participating in educational opportunities and brings innovation
  • Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing changing requests
  • Explores opportunities to add value to BAO Systems and improve and build upon SLAs

What you have:

  • 3-5 years of sales experience 
  • Excellent writing and communication skills (we will ask for a sample of your writing, so be ready to share!)
  • Passionate about process improvement
  • BA/BS university degree 

What we would love you to have:

  • Public health or NGO sales experience or health background
  • Technology background with SaaS selling experience
  • Familiarity with public health initiatives
  • Background in federal govt, public health, NGOs, or ministries of health
